Earth Day Live Assembly: Tuesday 18 April 9:30am

<div>Are your students interested in technology and how it can help us protect our planet? Could they see themselves working in a green career in the future?&nbsp; </div>Join us on Tuesday 18th April at 9.30am, when our Learning Pathways and Engagement Manager (and experienced primary school teacher), Rebecca Fuller, will deliver a live virtual 30-minute Tech We Can assembly for children aged 7 - 11. Attendance for this assembly is completely FREE. <a href="https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/01acdf10-1bc3-42f0-bba4-17df0719c179@57684479-66c5-4a2c-9235-7c982d2de799">REGISTER HERE</a> Rebecca will highlight the role technology plays in helping us to protect our planet and fight climate change - and also show some of the green careers within tech that students could pursue in the future. The content is ideal for a Key Stage 2 assembly, but you can also join as a class, or even from home. Please join from 9:15am onwards. Webinar access will be locked at 9:35am. Please note: This assembly was released in October 2022. British Science Week: LIVE 'Tech for Gaming and Esports' Assembly

We are proud to have supported British Science Week 2023 by delivering our BRAND NEW Tech for Gaming and Esports live assembly to more than 5,000 students across the UK. During this session,&nbsp; students explored the evolution of gaming, and the role technology plays in gaming and esports. They were also crucially introduced to a breadth of careers within the gaming and esports industries that they could pursue in the future. One of our award winning animations features in this session. The children watch our 'Katie and Tex explore VR' episode which is sponsored by our strategic partner, UST. For those who missed the live assembly, a recording is now available on our website and, whilst the content is ideal for a Key Stage 2 assembly, it can also be enjoyed as a class, or even from home. 13,000 students from across the UK joined our live Tech for Cyber Security Assembly, in support of Safer Internet Day.

Safer Internet Day: Huge numbers of children attend our Tech for Cyber Security live assembly

We are proud to have supported Safer Internet Day by delivering our new Tech for Cyber Security Assembly live to more than 13,000 students. The students from all across the UK joined a live webinar hosted by our Strategic Partner, Computeam. During this brand new Tech We Can session, children explore the concepts of cyber security, hacking and phishing and learn about the technology which is being used and developed to strengthen cyber security. They are also crucially introduced to a range of careers using technology in cyber security and encouraged to think about what the future of cyber security may look like. We are also delighted that our latest Katie and Tex animation is featured in this session. This brand new animation, sponsored by our strategic partner, Morgan Stanley and produced by Bold Content, sees Katie and Tex explore what an ethical hacker does and why these roles are so critical to cyber security. Sir Patrick Vallance shares why he believes diversity is critical for the future success of the tech industry.

Our co-CEO, Claire Thorne, spoke to Government Chief Scientific Adviser and National Technology Adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, for Tech She Can's first birthday event.&nbsp; They discussed the importance of workforce diversity for the future success of the tech industry - and why it's critical to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pursue a career in technology.
