<h2>Job description</h2><p><strong>Hours:</strong> Flexible - suggested 22.5 hours per week/ 3 days a week<br><strong>Location:</strong> Flexible with a hybrid working pattern<br><strong>Reports to:</strong> Marketing &amp; Comms Lead<br><strong>Experience required:</strong> 1-3 years in a marketing/events role <br><strong>Start date:</strong> ASAP<br><strong>Day rate:</strong> £175-200 depending on experience<br><br></p><h2><strong>The role</strong></h2><p>We’re seeking a <strong>Marketing and Events Executive</strong> to join Tech She Can, helping the charity to deliver its strategic marketing, communications <strong>and events</strong> activity.<br>Reporting to the Marketing &amp; Comms Lead and working closely with colleagues, partners and member organisations, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging digital communications and supporting the planning, promotion and delivery of Tech She Can events.<br>This is a hands-on and varied role within a small, dynamic core team, working in a fast-paced, charity environment. You’ll be involved in a broad range of activities – from updating the website and engaging audiences on social media, to creating content, supporting multichannel campaigns, and coordinating online and in-person events in collaboration with schools or our industry partners.<br>The broad objectives of the role are to:</p><ul><li>Ensure information about the charity’s activities reaches its target audiences</li><li>Grow and engage Tech She Can’s key audiences and communities</li><li>Build engagement with key influencers, stakeholders and partners</li><li>Support the delivery and promotion of events that advance the charity’s mission</li><li>Build and promote the charity’s reputation and inspire people to support and engage with Tech She Can</li></ul><h2><strong>Key responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></h2><p><strong><br>Strategy</strong></p><ul><li>Support the delivery of the marketing, communications and events plan aligned to the charity’s strategic and brand aims</li><li>Input into communications plans for strategic priorities, including campaigns, programmes and events, to reach influential audiences</li></ul><p><strong>Reach &amp; engagement</strong></p><ul><li>Help identify and build relationships with key audiences and partners, particularly across the education, youth, charity and technology sectors</li><li>Grow Tech She Can’s audiences across existing and new social media channels, nurturing engagement and community over time</li><li>Support audience growth and engagement around key moments, campaigns and events</li></ul><p><strong>Events &amp; partnerships</strong></p><ul><li>Support the planning, coordination and delivery of Tech She Can events (online, hybrid and in-person), including webinars, member events, panels and external conferences</li><li>Manage event communications, including event listings, registration pages, promotional content, reminder emails and post-event follow-up</li><li>Liaise with internal colleagues, member organisations, speakers, venues and suppliers to ensure events are delivered smoothly</li><li>Support on-the-day event delivery, including logistics, attendee communications and live social media where appropriate</li><li>Capture event content and insights (e.g. photos, quotes, key messages) to reuse across marketing and communications channels</li></ul><p><strong>Brand</strong></p><ul><li>Act as a brand guardian, ensuring correct application of brand guidelines and consistency in tone, style and quality across marketing, communications and event materials</li><li>Monitor and manage online audience interaction to proactively manage reputational issues and identify opportunities for positive engagement</li></ul><p><strong>Content creation</strong></p><ul><li>Support the Marketing &amp; Comms Lead to manage the charity’s digital channels (website and social media) and publishing pipeline</li><li>Write, post and schedule engaging, inclusive and accessible content across channels, including event promotion and follow-up content</li><li>Manage and update the website via the bespoke CMS and liaise with the website developer</li><li>Draft copy for newsletters, promotional materials, event pages, editorial, articles, case studies, press releases and digital/print assets</li></ul><p><strong>Reporting &amp; evaluation</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor and report on the performance of marketing, communications and event activity</li><li>Use digital tools (including Hootsuite and Google Analytics) to manage publishing schedules and track engagement</li><li>Support post-event evaluation, capturing insights and learnings to inform future activity</li></ul><h2><strong>About you</strong></h2><p>You’ll be excited by Tech She Can’s mission and motivated by creating impact through great communications and events. You’ll likely bring:</p><ul><li>A passion for inspiring the next generation of tech talent</li><li>Proven experience delivering marketing and communications activity across a range of channels</li><li>Experience supporting the planning and delivery of events (online and/or in-person)</li><li>Strong digital marketing skills, including content creation and website management</li><li>Good understanding of social media platforms (including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X/Twitter) and how to create effective content for each</li><li>Excellent writing, copyediting and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and collaborate closely with colleagues and partners</li></ul><h2><strong>Why this role is exciting</strong></h2><p>This is a brilliant opportunity to help shape the voice and visibility of a fast-growing charity at a pivotal moment in its journey. You will be trained in the delivery of this workshop and then repeatedly deliver this across multiple high schools from April to June 2026.&nbsp;</p><p>You’ll be part of a growing, passionate team committed to inspiring young people and supporting educators to empower the next generation into technology careers of the future.&nbsp;</p><h2>The role:</h2><ul><li>Location: Glasgow</li><li>Rate: £250 per day</li><li>Contract: 10 weeks, April to June 2026.&nbsp;</li><li>Working Pattern: 3 days per week</li></ul><p>Note: This is a self-employed contractor position.
