Using Data to Reach the Next Generation of Tech Talent

If talent were spread evenly by postcode, life would be much simpler. But opportunity has always had a habit of clustering.

That's something we think about a lot at Tech She Can.

Reaching hundreds of thousands of young people is important. Making sure we're reaching the young people most likely to miss out matters even more. Because where you grow up still shapes what careers you know about, what role models you see and, too often, what opportunities come your way.

That's why the Social Mobility Commission's State of the Nation data has become such a valuable part of our thinking. It helps us understand where those gaps exist and where our support can make the biggest difference.
