Game changing live assembly: Tech for Sport

Tech for Sport

Today we dove into the world where technology meets sport!

Qualified primary school teacher Becky Patel delivered an online assembly looking at the latest developments in tech for sport. She explained some cool new advances in tech, including:

  • Hidden tech in trainers
  • AR ski glasses that show how fast you're going
  • Hoverboards - a skateboard without wheels! Could this be a new sport for the future?
She then explains some of the jobs that are involved in creating tech for sport, such as an app developer, biomechanist or sports medicine technician.

More than 1,300 pupils joined us today, but you can watch the recording of the assembly and also complete a fun creative task to design a new sports kit using our free Twinkl worksheet (no log in required).

Sign up for our next live assembly on Tech for Helping People on Tuesday 4 July at 9.30am. You can also subscribe to our newsletter for all the latest news on our upcoming events and lessons.

You can also follow us on social media - we love to see photos of pupils enjoying our lessons!

Together we can change the ratio
