Are you a young woman working in tech? We want to hear from you!
If you’re a young woman working in tech, and would like to inspire the next generation to pursue a career in technology, we’d love to hear from you!
Our ‘Young women in tech’ campaign - a collaboration between Tech She Can, Workfinder, DCMS, everywoman and WeAreTechWomen - features short self-filmed videos of inspiring young women talking about their roles, highlighting the variety of tech careers that exist as well as the many different routes people take into them. You can explore our exsiting role model videos here.
The types of roles we're looking to feature include data analyst, data engineer, software developer, systems engineer, DevOps engineer, intelligence analyst, app developer, data scientist, VR or metaverse designer, privacy analyst, security architect, Natural Language Processing (NLP) engineer, Blockchain developer, UX designer, or Cloud engineer. This isn’t an exhaustive list (see more examples below), but hopefully gives you a good idea of the types of roles we’re looking to profile in this campaign!
If you’d like to feature in this video series, share your story of how you got into technology, what it is you do in your current role and what you enjoy most about what you do. Download our detailed filming guide which provides all the information you need, including how to film your videos, the questions we’d like you to answer and how to submit your videos to us. If you have any questions, please get in touch with us at info@techshecan.org.
The initial phase of the campaign launched in early March 2022, but we'll continue to add role model videos into the collection on an ongoing basis.
