AI Awareness Day Assemblies
Join our LIVE or on-demand assemblies on June 4th 2026 as part of AI Awareness Day
AI is already part of young people’s everyday lives - from the apps they use to the content they consume. But understanding how it works, how to question it, and how to use it responsibly is becoming just as important as using it.
AI Awareness Day is a nationwide campaign supporting schools to build AI literacy through simple, engaging activities that spark curiosity, critical thinking and discussion.
To support this, Tech She Can is delivering two free AI assemblies for KS2 and KS3 LIVE on June 4th, also available on-demand. In addition we have a KS4 assembly available on-demand, to suit the busy exam period.
These are all designed to help students go beyond the headlines and explore what AI really means for them.
All three AI assemblies link into the 5 principles of the day:
- Safe - Ensuring safe and secure interactions with AI technologies.
- Smart - Building intelligent understanding of how AI works.
- Creative - Harnessing AI as a tool for creativity and innovation.
- Responsible - Promoting ethical and responsible use of AI.
- Future - Preparing for an AI-shaped future with confidence.
These assemblies don’t just explain the technology - they help students see where they could fit within it.
Because AI isn’t just something happening to them.
It’s something they can understand, question, and shape.

Animated Lesson for KS1 - On Demand
Katie & Tex Explores Responsible AI
The episode helps children understand that AI is a powerful tool, but it needs human help to learn and improve. It also reminds us to use AI responsibly, as it uses energy, and we should only use it when we really need to. Most importantly, children are encouraged to always check with a trusted adult before using AI or relying on its answers—especially when something doesn’t seem quite right! In partnership with Accenture
Animated Lesson for KS1 - On Demand
Katie & Tex Explore AI and Recycling Ocean Plastic
In this episode, Katie and Tex explore how AI is being used to help tackle plastic pollution. Plastic pollution is a huge problem which is affecting oceans all over the world - this happens when people drop litter, and it gets washed or blown into rivers and seas. AI is now being used to help tackle the problem. In partnership with Accenture
Animated Lesson for KS1 - On Demand
Katie & Tex Explore Generative AI
In this episode the children will learn that Generative AI (Gen AI) is a type of artificial intelligence where computers can generate text, images or other media in response to a request. It can be used for many different things such as translating languages, creating music and helping write code for other computer programmes. In partnership with Accenture
Animated Lesson for KS1 - On Demand
Katie & Tex Explore Robotics and AI
In this lesson children will learn that in simple terms, a robot is any automatically operated machine that replaces human effort. Robots come in all shapes and sizes - sometimes they look like humans and sometimes they don’t! Robots perform many different tasks and can often do these faster and with more accuracy than a human.
