Inspiring the next generation of AI leaders - bridging education and industry

Artificial Intelligence is shaping our future. But who’s shaping AI? Right now, women and girls are underrepresented in the creation, deployment, and regulation of AI. We’re changing that.

During National Careers Week and ahead of International Women’s Day 2025, Tech She Can and Accenture launched the Girls In AI Summit - a first-of-its-kind event to inspire and equip girls with the knowledge, confidence, and connections to create our futures.

Why this matters

AI is not just ‘something’ that happens to us. It’s about tools, products and services that we can all play a part in creating, ensuring the world works for all. Yet, too often, the voices of women and young people - especially those from underrepresented backgrounds - are missing.

It’s time to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and open doors to careers in technology. The Girls in AI Summit was designed to inform, inspire, and ignite action - proving that AI careers are creative, can be for social good, and are for - and by - everyone.

The girls experience

Hands-on AI career exploration – Festival-style zones and interactive demos bring AI careers to life, allowed students to experience the diverse and exciting opportunities in tech.

Inspiring industry speakers – Relatable women role models working in and around AI shared their personal journeys, insights, and the impact of AI across industries - from healthcare to climate tech.

Breaking stereotypes, building futures – The summit was designed to raise aspirations, increase tech literacy, and challenge the status quo - showing that AI is for everyone.
